Impact
A love story that opens a larger conversation.
Love Will Save the Day brings humor, romance, and humanity to conversations about HIV and intimacy. By centering Black women and the fullness of their lives, the film invites audiences to question stigma and imagine what becomes possible when people feel seen, informed, and worthy of love.
The first feature-length romantic dramedy of its kind, with an HIV storyline at its heart.
What we hope audiences carry with them
A more compassionate understanding of people living with HIV. Greater willingness to talk about testing, prevention, and care. And the reminder that a diagnosis does not erase anyone's right to ambition, pleasure, connection, or a future.
Research on 90 DAYS
The research behind the approach
Research led by Jazmyne V. Bryant, PhD, MPH, has examined 90 DAYS as an entertainment-education tool. A randomized study among Black women living with HIV reported greater intentions to disclose to intimate partners and greater confidence in doing so among participants who viewed the film, compared with participants who read a brochure. Related qualitative research explored how viewers recognized their own experiences in the story and saw it as a possible starting point for conversations with partners.
These findings concern 90 DAYS and the study participants. They inform the approach to Love Will Save the Day; they are not findings about the new feature or a guarantee of individual outcomes.
